St Christophers

St Christopher's Hostels are party hostels taken to extremes. The hostel typically contains tightly-packed en-suite dormitories, and a public bar downstairs, and that's it - no kitchen, no common area except for the bar. Many travellers will find this perfect, at least for the weekend. The locations are always central, the bars are friendly and pretty well-priced, and an adequate breakfast is included in the nightly rate. Most people will find the complete lack of kitchen facilities frustrating after a couple of days, and while there seems no pressure to buy a drink the bar is way too tempting if you are just trying to have a quiet night in. That said there are a few long term residents who seem quite happy living there and working.
