Alicante Airport

Alicante Airport is a pleasant enough modern airport. As befits its location, most of the summer traffic is charter flights. As is quite common the departures area at the single terminal is divided between a section for charter flight checkins and a section for the remainder of passengers. Out of season this mass of unused space can make the airport seem deserted, but there are still enough facilities to keep you happy.

Getting there on foot

Alicante airport is 9km from the town close to the coast. You should be able to get there by following the road signs.

Getting there by public transport

Route C6 runs from the centre of Alicante to the airport. If you have arrived by train find your way to the bus station (Estacion del Autobus), around 1km away between the main strip and the beach. The bus runs from a stop on the road just outside the bus station to the airport. There are other stops scattered around the centre, and several are slightly closer to the station, but they may prove more difficult to find. The bus runs every 40 minutes throughout the day, taking around 40 minutes. The 1 euro fare should be paid to the driver.

If you are travelling to the airport from Benidorm or Murcia there are direct bus services several times a day costing less than 10 euros. See the airport website for details of these.
